Billing Terms

Last updated: July 26, 2026

1. Plans

Gitship has a Free plan (30 posts per month, forever, no card required) and a Pro plan billed monthly. Current prices and what each plan includes are on the Pricing page. A post cross-published to several platforms counts as one post.

2. Payment and renewal

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Pro renews automatically each month on the date you subscribed, until you cancel. Prices are in USD and exclude any VAT or local taxes, which Stripe adds at checkout where applicable.

3. Upgrades, downgrades, cancellation

You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your dashboard — the billing portal is self-serve, no email required.

  • Upgrading takes effect immediately, prorated for the current period.
  • Cancelling stops the next renewal: Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Your data is untouched.

4. Refunds

If you are an EU consumer, you have a 14-day withdrawal right on your first subscription; by starting to use Pro immediately you agree the service begins before that period ends, and any refund is prorated for the time used. Beyond that, monthly charges are generally non-refundable — but if something went wrong (double charge, billing error, the service was down), email billing@gitship.dev and we will make it right.

5. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it over several days and emails you. If it still fails, your account moves to the Free plan — nothing is deleted, and upgrading again restores Pro instantly.

6. Price changes

If we change a plan's price, existing subscribers get at least 30 days' notice by email before the new price applies to their renewal. Cancelling before then means you never pay the new price.
