Data Deletion Instructions

Gitship only stores the data needed to schedule and publish your posts: your profile from GitHub sign-in, the OAuth tokens of the social accounts you connect (X, LinkedIn, Threads, Reddit), your drafts, your post history, and any media you attach. Here is how to delete any or all of it.
1. Disconnect a social account
Go to Dashboard → Accounts and click Disconnect on the account. Its access token is deleted from our database immediately, and Gitship loses all ability to post to that account.
You can also revoke Gitship's access from the platform's own settings — for Threads: Settings → Security → Apps and websites. Both routes have the same effect.
2. Delete your entire account and data
Email privacy@gitship.dev from the email address associated with your account, with the subject “Delete my account”. No justification needed.
We will:
- confirm receipt within 72 hours;
- delete your profile, connected-account tokens, drafts, scheduled and published post records, media files, and analytics identifiers within 30 days;
- send you a final confirmation once deletion is complete.
The only data we may retain is what the law requires us to keep (billing records for paid plans). Posts already published to your social accounts live on those platforms and are yours to delete there.
